The project development included a high-rise medical tower on the existing Swedish Hospital campus. Construction involved the demolition of existing buildings within the new building footprint, and the shoring of existing hospital buildings on the east and south sides of the new structure. This involved the underpinning and support of heavily loaded footings immediately adjacent the new construction. Deformations were limited to less than 0.5 inches adjacent the existing structures and less than 1 inch adjacent the city right-of-way.
